B-17 Flying Fortress: The Mighty 8th. The close button totally threw me.
It's too late to come up with a game. My brain isn't working. lol
Someone else can have a go.

I don't know about the reviews, but to me the game was too much of a "sit and watch" experience. You had to, occationally, correct the navigator as you would get lost from time to time, you would do the bombing because the bombardier sucked and wouldn't be able to hit the ground if he fell out of there, and you could try your luck at any of the gun stations. You could forget about trying to fly the darn thing, as the controls were too awkward. You could remap the keys/functions but that wouldn't always work. I don't know if that was a bug, but the engines controls through the keyboard wouldn't accept you reassigning them. Then of course you had the "autonomy"/AI which basically meant your men would run around screaming or just simply run around. Last: The size of the map would force you to skip time. That would have been a good thing if it wasn't for the fact that anything could (and would) happen before the game detected something was going on, leaving you shot, and badly messed up.
This, however, is a very, very good game.
