It is hypocritical to call surge ignorant, when you wont even read what he says, or respond, and just flame him. He's right.
You're ignorant if you are saying that deathball has a bigger fanbase and established clans, that is only because it has been out for over half a year. And if you are comparing the amount of code from db to another mod, you have to remember most people out there will count weapons, and everything else.
Content wise i think even marble madness could win over db. Deathball has two main maps that are played, cube and lowcube. There should be more themes not styles. Where the hell have you seen for instance a round football field or a zig zag soccer field (doesnt make a difference soccer us or soccer euro). Maybe if you left cube alone already and started on like a cube with with a dome and diferent fake grass. Maybe a daytime cube even.
Model wise there is one model and its not that great imo. I mean, even a new model for the ball would be good, or even a new skin.
Saying the other mods suck because they spend too much time on a menue and intro... i mean do you seriously think these guys spend THAT much time on it? Besides these newer mods mostly have more on their dev team than db. And sure most of them suck compared to deathball. But this is deathball's what, 10th release? It is these mods first.
And berk, to say there is no cookie cutter, your wrong, i thought this mod was based on soccer (euro football). Even so its no hard to balance everything, but you seem to change everything every version.
And to be the 10th or whatever version of db, and there are still a handful of bugs. And then for disturbed to say faceoff is CS clone, i beg to differ. Where's the buying system? CS does not = realism btw.

-Most of your comments are based on misinterpretation (most things u said other ppl claimed they hated, were just neutral comments from them, maybe slightly negative but it wasnt as criticising as u made it seem, also i think most ppl do take it in account that it's only the first version, but were ppl always easy on db? mmnah)
-It's easier to have a gametype that's been done 1000 times almost the same way, and do it again with another variation of combinations thereof, than it is to make a concept based on real life sport(s) and translate it to a good working game like deathball ( i mean gameplay wise, plz dont come with another 10 posts about "LOL GOOD WOKRING OMFG WTF LOL IT HSA TEH BUGG" )
-It's not that easy to find a good modeller/skinner that will do the models for u also i think they will put gameplay and bots/tutorials/videos (or whatever helps n00bs to play the game more) first, after that models and skins would be important.

when have i come with 10 posts about the bug, and what does it have to do with the subject? running out of things to say in your defense? I see how it is with most of the european community (hence "most") the "NA's can never be right because we are all idiots"

its an Urban Terror ripoff from Quake 3 Arena
actually there were about 7-8 decent modelers in the NA community...
If you were them would you want to work on a mod where the dev team, intentionally or not, doesnt appear to give a rats ass about or support your community? i know i wouldnt.
