In your UT2003.ini you need to make the following change.

Before: MainMenuClass=XInterfaceUT2MainMenu

After: MainMenuClass=deathball.db_mainmenu

when you click back, you will always see the db menu instead of reverting to the UT2k3 menu. Of course this means that when you click the UT2k3 icon, you will load the db menu.

Some of you who continue to play CTF or DM or any of the others will have to deal with the bug. My favorites and buddy list provide all the servers I need to enjoy any of UT2k3's game formats.

create a different .ini file for deathball with the fix
then add INI=NewIni.ini to the db shortcut....and u can have the menu fix and normal for other games

i am only using the deathball ini and it sez
MainMenuClass=DeathBall.db_mainmenu
in there

do you think it jumps back to ut2003.ini?

stupid question, there are 1000 other mods out there, do they have the same menu problem?

Not that i'v seen... a DB ini should be all you need though. Why its resetting is probably an issue with UT2003 (omg, something i truely believe isnt Davids fault?). It only goes back to the default menu on server crashes for me.

I used to go back to UT menu's when clicking back button or disconnecting from a game. Clicking server browser would even take me back into UT menu.

I think it somehow uses UT2003 ini for some Epic reason or another.

another ini related problem is that settings from instant action don't save or even have an effect during a match.
