i've found eight "things"(spoiler) but i still cant put it together in a word that makes sense... may i keep looking?

I've found all but one of the "things"... I figured out the answer when I was only three short, but I kept on looking just to see if I could find them all. I did find two more, but I can't seem to find the last one. Is the very first one Possibly used twice to make the answer? Or is there another one to be found somewhere?

Well I get the idea of finding "things" and I have 5... but just no idea how to find the other ones (because I believe that there must be more to create a word...)
Any hints where I should look or in what way I should do it?
