THing is, people are ONLY using this move and at such speed shooting is not used. my game the other day the enemy team "only" used this and half the time we had like 3 people in the pbox and the ball just flys past everyone and the keeper. unless a keeper has a slightly increased catch radius on volleys its oh so ghay.
Thats some excessive pbox camping. Try to use man to man and camping, working much better. One plays zone and the others box out the attackers.
Don't know why I'm giving out good defense strats.
How high are these "units" ? If someone is at the peak of a normal, non-boosted quad jump is thier volley power going to be lower than someone on the ground? If so your idea is lame.

isnt this like.. playing DM.. however.. if your good.. then your gun is altered so that its impossible to kill someone :p
I consider boost goals a skill, that everyone can pick up if they tried, and one that can also be defended against, like dodge-jumping, if you can master it, its a useful skill, however, you can also develope ways of stopping dodge-jumpers from killing you..
So, what comes next? removing the dodge-jump from DM, just to make it more 'n00b friendly'?

yeah, boost goals are a skill, i agree, but they're WAY easier to do than any other type of scoring, which makes it a tad bit... unbalanced?
taking this out wouldn't make it n00b friendly, it would revive regular shooting as a valuable skill. because right now, the only skill offenses need are volleying when very high and boosting people very high.

no, that would be the border
right above the normal quad jump it starts going down
fair enough, your original post said for every 128 units above ground you lose power, if you make it for every 128 (or whatever) units above quadjump max height then that is fine.
aww it would be fun if the power was lower when you jumped and higher when you were on the ground (realistic too but that isn't really a considerationg) this would make crossing more effective i think
