North American Deathball League

Post by Fallen »

This pertains to the mainly the North American community of deathball. We have started season one of our league, after a long exciting draft which consisted of many rounds of picking.

1st Overall Pick: Gib (Rush)

We had a very good success for the signup from the community. This is no way trying to snub the DBL league and its efforts to keep competitive Deathball alive, but we have to try anything to revitalize the situation over here.

We had 89 signees, huge part thanks to late entries at the deadline. I hope that this will interest some people to follow us, but if not, who cares.

This is not like the DBL where clan/squads fight for positions. On a team, you have different people who were drafted. You play as a team, and try to win. It is sort of a pug/pickup game, but we expanded it and made it to a league with 10 teams.

Our format of playing, 1 or 2 games versus every other team, and the top 2 teams from each division goes into a playoffs for a chance at a championship game.

We won't include prizes for the first season, but might add something later on. We also plan to have an allstar game, but with no stats logging, its going to be a challenge to pick the best players.

We have 2 europeans playing with us as well--Catalyst and Bl44t. I hope that they will have a good experience playing in a different environment because we hope this league will be more competitive that the DBL.

So if anyone has opinions or questions, post, if not, just wanted to recap the recent events here. Would be nice if we got some publicity from planet deathball. This is a big time for us.

KTHX Bye

Are you North American? If not, sorry. But we won't allow any new participates because of the rule of no free agents. Try next season.
