I vote for a boycott of the new pickup system. While there is nothing wrong in principle with a rating system, and balanced teams is a good thing to aim for, the current method is not the way to go about it.

The only acceptable rating system would be a score given by those who have just played a pickup with you. But since most people would be too lazy to do that, it wouldnt work.

Either force people to rate them (ie ban them from playing piggups until they have voted sensibly), or go back to the old, random, system; which had no complaints until DavidM decided to have a go at it. I wonder what the effect would have been if *I* had complained, but everyone in power decided there was no problem.

The other option is to have a system similar to the na dbpug bot. While players would still type !add a/d/k/s as now, once teams are full, keepers get to pick 2 defenders and 2 attackers to make their team.

That offers a solution to the unfair-teams problem, and also adds an incentive to the currently shunned keeper position.

Complain about it when you have played some matches with it. It's not been used a single time yet.

i agree with it largely, i justr completely disagree with the fact that just 2 ppl are responsible for giving ppl ratings and also keeping them secret!

i agree ppl dont need to know their ratings cos like david says it would cause conflicts, but in no way shud him and goldy be solely responsible for sorting ratings out!
