A serious problem...

Ok... I'm somewhat of a nubcake to DB, but day by day it gets easier, as anything does with practice... However, I have noticed a serious problem among the DB community.

I read thread after thread about how everyone wants DB to thrive, and continue to grow... well coming from being a newbie to where I am now, I must tell you, it sucks!!!

People are assholes, no one cares that you are new and aren't as good as them.. and this is on PUBLIC servers... How are people supposed to get any better without practice?? You all sucked ass at one time too ya know! But no one remembers that...

Now, granted, there are alot of people out there that are willing to help, and I thank you for that (Goose, Imaginos, etc..) but for as many people out there that will help there are 4 times as many jerkoffs... (I apologize in advance for the crude language)

What's the point of the thread?? I'm complaining only because I know how annoying it is to be on a pub server trying to learn how to play with people, and having clan members demean you and place kick votes against you because you can't pass volley... All I ask is that we all keep an open mind for the new people who come to play with us.. After all, in order to grow, there has to be noobs!! Any thoughts?

i know what you mean... learn to life with it. there will alway's be guy's like that moaning about it. check out the tv1 server it's called where noobs meet. $\o/$

indeed...and the server admin have been talking about a way to start moderating the servers more...granted we can`t always be here but installing mapvote with kick is def a good start

This has been mentioned many times. There was talk in previous threads regarding starting a 'Begginers DB server'... this didn't seem to happen though.

im very sorry
i have learned about 10 newbies since 2 months

since today im learning a player called "alex"

i never curse at newbie's, infact i use to give them hints (still do)
if people i know say "fuck newbie to anyone" i kinda dislike them

in other games its not so bad to be newbies cause u can frag them (most shoot games)
this game needs teamwork and therefore it sucks to have newbie's on ur team

DAVIDM HURRY TO GET UR DB LEARNING THINGIE HERE. p.s dont care if ur coders arent here, i just want it to be done :p

ps. Its very annoying if noobs cant talk, u cant learn them
when i was noob i asked things alot
like volley etc
i also spectated people like Holy_surfing, Catalyst and learned alot

they dont know this
but they are really my rolemodels since the beginning, still are o/

As posted in my original thread, I thank you and everyone like yourself who is willing to lend out a helping hand... Luckily I can pick up on games faster than most people, however some need more practice... and more "learning"...

I do agree with your comment about n00bs not talking... Never understood why people dont ask questions, or explain they are a n00b... I always make it abundantly clear if I get some shit...

well back when i started everyone sucked cause db was only around for like a 1/2 weeks so ...but when i see advanced people making fun of noobs ,etc i try to remind them of the fact that " FFS , YOUR STILL A FREAKING NOOB AND YOUR ALLREADY CALLING OTHERS NOOB" get lost >_<

and this is the point where i c for myself i perfectly fit in this story

considering im a noob calling people who call people noobs noobs etc... you following me ? k good so now i have my finger up the witches butt and i was like too high of the X and i was on the floor and shit but then i noticed she had gigantic titties and green hair and gigantic feet so i tryed to run but she had her finger up my butt and i was stuck , i dont know what she was planning to do but it didnt look good at the moment but then a stroke of light came and scared her off ... it was an LAPD officer and he brought me to the donutshop and i told my story to him there and after all that he laughed at me and called me a drug-addict and i was like " shh, look who your talking to ,noob" he pulled out his pump and he pointed the shitter at me and was ready to fire when i pulled out my uberleet weapon (a plastic fork) and put it in his eye , ran home ,went to the back of my house , i dig up my ak (wich i happened to have gotten for my birthday for Snoop , thx dog) i ran back to the donutshop , frenzykilled all of em ,just to leave no witnesses. After that i went to my main man DRE and he gave me a record deal at Aftermath and i was on my way to making millions . And now with my homy "half-a-buck" we are ruling the hip-hop world.

so the moral of this story : Dont fuck with the Witch >_<

if anyone cares....me and a few NA admin have started to exchange admin for each others server...this way there can be mor moderation of the server...na public as of now has about 8 admins ...this should be enough so stop idiots

Anyway, one tip for all n00bs: look at (old) demorecs .o/

I used to watch a lot of div 1 demos, they used to be posted @ dbl site more often =(

I learnt a lot from those (watching cata .o/ yay) and i really wish ppl would post more of those demos =(
