Coundn't try it. Error: Can't find Demon sounds. That file needs to be included.

Looks good from the pictures.

Needs a screen preview.

Becareful with names. Once you put out a version, any updates need a different name. The redirect server I use won't except updates. I would suggest calling maps betas until your positive the map is final.

You have a lot of brushes that are not on the grid or square. By design?

Ok I updated the zip file to include the uax file (which is from icedemon)

is just the uax file for those who only need that file.

If I hafta update this map I'll just tack on a number, i'm fairly sure this map won't change unless playing yeilds and unexpected bug.

i'm not sure what you mean about the brushes? perhapse its the crowd?

not to be a boner, but i havnt seen this on any server or whatnot, and just curious if anyones tried it out, has any suggestions etc?

like i said before. the sound file is now in the zip file as i siad earlier so don't be afraid to download :)

I'm gonna start on some new maps, but i wanna make sure this one is aok first.

Don't expect a lot of comments. It's sad, but not many people bother.

To be honest, I think the map needs more work. The layout is interesting but the map looks unfinished.

The lighting needs work, the crowd sounds are too loud and annoying, textures need alignment, brushes are off the grid (blue add brushes for the cave opening and others), the light fixtures look bad, no preview, no bot paths, ect...

I was disappointed to see both volly cube and this map not but out as betas. The maps would benifit from more time and effort. The ideas are there, I just think your rushing yourself.

I'm afraid I have to agree with Twigstir here. It could use more work. One thing I'd like to see in this map is perhaps a little bit more colour. Perhaps more team-based lighting (ie. more blue and red lights in their halves)?

Ok, I'll give it some more work.

I'm not sure what you mean about the textures not being aligned but i'll look for it.

the mountains are just there too look as if its underground. but your right i do rush myself. i'm always anxious to see how the gameplay will be in the map before i dedicate myself to really buckling down with its complete look. the original idea was outdoors but for fps sake i moved it inside.

color lights i'm not a huge fan of, getting stuck playing keeper 60% of the game it annoyes the crap outa me :)

welp just you wait the next ver of this map might look alot different, i'm still learning! :P thanks for the constructive critisim!

O.K.

I had to goto work this morning super early. so i just didn't goto bed. so to keep myself from wanting to sleep I rehauled this map.. i'm talking total rehauled too.

I'm still fixing it up but I must say. I already like it 10x better. So just you peoples wait till you get a load of it ;)

Texture scale- click on surface - right click on surface- surface properties- pan/rot/scale tab.

Texture alignment - use the texture pan tool to pan the texture to get rid of seems.

Some of your textures should be scaled lower to look better. Aligning textures also make the map look better.

The mountains are a good idea. Make the brushes stay on the grid (you should always be on the grid) and add some lighting so it looks like some sunlight hits the inside of the hole.

ok heres a few screens of the updates.

still on the to do list:

1. add goalie lines and such (looking for a good texture to use)
2. add the crowd in and re-add the crowd noises quieter
3. add in more wall decorations in the crowd box area (if anyone wants me to stick a banner of yours in email me it)
4. add slight flares to the lights
5. sky area will change a little also, i was hoping to make it rain lightly through the gate but i think gate will block it :<

I've been trying to learn how to make events cue when a goal is scored but i'm not fully sure how it is done

like cue a noise when the ball enters an area.

and anyone know how to import sound or a program to make your own sound pack?

For general unreal fiddling, Wotgreal is your friend. And here's some useful tips on using custom sounds. You can probably find anything else you need on that there wiki as well. Really useful reference.
