Problem with UT 2003 (and DB ??) in a LAN party

Hello

we've faced a problem when trying to play UT 2003 in a LAN (8 players).

After a few minutes, we had this error message ("erreur critique" = critical error in english) :

Each time, we changed the computer that was acting as server and each time this computer had this message.

Moreover, one of the computer had this message from the start and could not even play for a second.

I have to precise that I add some new maps and mutators and, to earn some time, I copied each of my modificated folder from my PC and pasted them on the other PC (the folders pasted were : animations, karmadata, maps, sound, music, system, maps, textures)

What strikes me is the following line : "UdpGamespyQuery DB-U. etc..." The problem may be in relation with DB ?:!?!

May someone help us to know what happens, as this message may be a very well known error ? thank you.

(UT installation is patch 2225 + deatball+ team freeze + DE bonus pack + various maps)

cos your trying to advertise it on the master server.. not a DB problem but your LAN settings.. btw DB sucks badly at a LAN party, always seems to be the worst game at our LANs

really? it was the best game at our lan

tho Dodgeball was a much bigger hit. you wouldn't beleive the ammount of yelling that went on! "OHH YOU BASTARD!"

my personal favorite "CLASSIC MATCHUP! BROTHER VS BROTHER! WHO WILL TAKE THE CUP! OHHH!!! WINNER!"

people just couldnt be arsed with it.. by far the best is always delta force bhd.. superb fun playing ctf on that

But what can I do to solve the problem ??

Do I have to modify the settings (and which ones ?) or ...do I have to delete DB ???

Best game for a LAN = The Specialists

Mod for HL...based on the matrix, and action films by John Woo and the like.

Plays a bit like CS, but with a "stunt" button, for dives, rolls, and running up walls and doing backflips, and u get power-ups that make it go into bullet-time.

Rox0rs on a LAN, and is fun on the net too.

theres some settings in the ini file to do the uplink just disable it

yeah played that at one of our LANs got a little boring after a while tho
