Starting A Dedicated Server...

I'm currently running a UT2003 Windows Recon Server. I want to run DeathBall 1.9 off of the server, but have a few questions. Are there any files in the zip folder that I dont need to upload(excluding the obvious readme files)? Like the .bat and the .exe files. Also I only need to add one line to the UT2003.ini and im set?

Could someone who knows all stuff about setting up servers do a big write up here? So I can make it sticky and we don't need these threads anymore :)

Basiclly you really need to upload everything...if not you get log erors and that can grow to be a big problem...like as in if you get a 59.9 mb log file like vw server did

I'll prolly just upload everything like you suggested and if someone posts otherwise i'll delete it. Better to have extra stuff then not enough I guess.

I uploaded the exe ant bat files. I don't think they are needed but the small files don't hurt anything.

I use recongamer.

The command line I gave them to start the server: ucc server DB-Avenir.ut2?game=deathball.db_deathball?mutator=MapVote400b11.Mapvote

The ";" symbol disables the line of code. Never delete lines. Use the ";" symbol.

For the redirect you can leave the dowloads to true if you want people to be able to download maps not on the redirect. They will download them from your server in that case. upload compressed files of your maps to speed up downloads off your server. (utcompress is the program I use. I don't have a link)
