hate to tell you imag but voting reg deathball makes it seem like it works, but when it switches and all its still volley only.

Huh? I thought I fixed that too.. Someone must be going into webadmin and setting the rules for reg deathball to vo. I'll check again.

Edit: yep. fixed. (again) Someone there with admin rights doesn't seem to care to change the game to VO, they just make the reg game VO too. They upped the speed as well.

VO sucks. Volley only isnt deathball... its a fucking talent show. Playing VO does NOTHING for you as far as practicing goes, except being good at stealing shots from other players and pissing people off.

To say fo rarely has 5v5 is a fucking joke. That server is crammed to the brim with ball hogs 24/7. "If you guys stopped pugging and played public" WE DONT WANT TO PLAY PUBLIC BECAUSE ALL YOU PLAY IS FUCKING VO.

imag is there anyway the server can get unpassworded? For those that know enough to look in the name it is fine but for n00bs chances are they won't be able to get in, or will have a filter against locked servers

unpassworded servers are 25 dollars a month more for a 10 person server ($65 a month total).

As far a regular deathball servers go, the NA almost always has regular deathball servers available. It is very, very rare to find both BuD and FO on volley only. There is also the BuD UT2K4 server which is hardly every used at the moment. Servers exist to play both.

everyone complains about pugs and how they steal people away from your precious vo games, which isn't true at all, since no one plays pugs anymore, if we're lucky, maybe 1 or 2 pugs are played a day.

i complain about pugs beacuse ist a passworded sever. when i hop online and look for a game to play. i see a REG game i actually would liek to play. but its always a passworded sever i can't just join unless i go on IRC find out the password. and even then teams and shit are already chosen. think of the new players you think are being warped by VO. when all they have are VO games because the REG games aer passworded. if you guys would not password a PUG and just when you get like 5 people go on a server and play like the euro's do. then more people would join... and show a little tollerance for the new players. I give the euro's props for actually palying 3 on 3 on CUBE and waiting it out for more people to show up.

understandable except you forgot one thing, NA doesn't have the same fanbase as the euros do in deathball atm. we can wait and wait and wait for people to join to fully get a 5on5 reg pub match going, but most of the time that doesn't happen. another reason why people prefer pugs over reg pub games is because the skill level is tolerable, unlike reg pub matches where you're pulling out your hair trying to teach a nub how to pass and he won't listen etc...

foo there are n00bs in 2k4 that are playing reg.. even on small cube, which is like amazing or something. tbh i hope most of the vets don't go to 2k4 just yet cuz they will just fuck it up again, but give db one more chance with 2k4 foo the n00bs i have meet seemed nice and wanted to learn. More over they seem to like the game but they have no where to play except euro servers. Maybe the beta isn't the right time but when they get the full verson out we really need just one server up there (more than one might be bad actaully) just to give ppl places to play.
