Erm...you can have a custom crosshair just like you always could. I've been using it since they fixed the xhair bug.
[DeathBall.DB_Hammer]
bUseOldWeaponMesh=False
ExchangeFireModes=0
Priority=13
CustomCrosshair=90
CustomCrossHairColor=(B=255,G=255,R=255,A=255)
CustomCrossHairScale=1.000000
CustomCrossHairTextureName=customhair.customhair3
This is in my DeathballUser.ini and works fine.
As for TV's volley radius thingy, I don't think I've ever seen it. Was it supposed to be in 1.9b?

That doesnt work for me, I didnt have a [DeathBall.DB_Hammer] in my deathballuser.ini
I added it at the end but im still stuck with a butt ugly default crosshair

I take it you created the neccesary .u and .int files for your crosshair first?
If you don't know how to create a custom crosshair the 2k4 way, you should look it up.
