vgg TV :)

I can go on about how I love how the new models are coming along (they're not great yet, but an innovative idea, and I trust Tinman and modelling friends to make them lovely), I can also go on about how I love the attention defenders get, as well as go on about how I love how much attention us 'pro-'players get ;)

I can go on about the lovely new HUD, the lovely deflect code and the brilliant 2.0 maps.

But there's one thing way better than all of this.
One thing I'd happily return in order to keep this: a healthy growing community.

Numerous noobs are joining our community, and we're shoving wise lessons and 'help'-spam into them by the shitload ;)
I love it :) they adore us ;p they're so cute \o/

Of course every once in a while (I've already seen em..) another one will come by calling everyone noobs for not passing to him, even though he just camps near pbox, doesn't help out and doesn't get open...and maybe they will sometimes annoy us by not passing, not knowing boost, or leaving keep.

But remember, they are the ones that have the ability to keep our community fresh and alive, and I'm already seeing some great talents \o/
So please don't spoil it again :) and if you can, offer them some help.

I raise my goblet of gaming pride to Deathball..let's rock! \o/

:noob:

Hey mates, I just picked up Deathball for the first time yesterday. I must say, I had quite a bit of fun just playing against the bots. I think I'll just be sticking to botmatches or LAN until the noob event later this week. I can learn the basics at my own pace without getting in the way of the pros. :) This is by far the best mod I've played for UT2004 thus far.
:p

Glad to see people are joining the noob-event :D

Just in case you didn't already know: please idle in irc :) irc.quakenet.org etc. etc. as described on main page ;)

And it's truly great bots can finally help people learn the game :)

If it could be done, how about changing the scoring on touchdown.

Have 7 points for a goal, 3 points for a "safety" when own team grabs it in goal area.

That way it would still be dangerous to grab the ball in defense, but not overly penalise accidents ;)

Deathball 2.0 on UT2004 is way better than I imagined. The smoothness of UT2004 really lifts this mod to greater heights and the new additions are great. VGG guys!

I think that DB 2.0 is indeed the best version of DB to date, though it will be nicer when the player models are even more customizable.
