We, WE who deserved to win this shit, with our excelent team, we who beated spain, england and holland, take one goal in the only fucking chance they get against us. Not lucky? please, spare me....

how can you call them lucky?

out played you in 1st game, beat the best team in the world, then beat the so called team of this tournament, then beat you again in the final, luck had nothing to do with it.

Luck however did have a huge impact on you reaching the semis. :)

heh, amazing. you managed to turn the point from greece to england. lucky on the quarters? i suppose a good header by ronaldo and an amazing shot by rui costa were shit when compared to a defensive error goal and a lucky touch 5 minutes before the end of the extra time... but... whatever, nothing i wouldn't expect.

Just would like to state that now i crealy understand the difference between hooligans, like the ones that caused disturbances in my country, like probably some of you, and nice english people, like the ones that sat behind me in the stadium supporting portugal with the tickets they still had for the final, speaking with me gently the whole match.

i'm tired and pissed, i'll admit it, and sorry for that.. just that the portuguese people didn't deserve this. we had alot of faith in our players, and we do feel backstabbed by luck. everyone in the country feels it.

good night.

I'd rather see portugal win it, since it's more fun to watch them play than greece imo :o but i can't deny it.. greeks were better in the final, didnt see their groupgame though.

Well, the greeks surely dont play an attractive or beautiful football, but they were more effective and have a outstanding defense, and the team who deserves to win is the one who scores more goals, nothing much to say. It was the victory of defensive and tactical football against offensive and creative football. It was not luck, Rehhagel thought his players should play like this and he was right, as i said, its not pretty, but that's not what matters in football.

Now about the Euro, it was a celebration of football. The fans were outstanding here in Portugal, great behaviour from the spanish, english and dutch when they lost against us, they kept celebrating no matter what the result, also other countries' supporters were fantastic, just beautiful. Tonight, a great behaviour from the portuguese as well. After the defeat people all over the country would still be singing out loud "Força Portugal" and waving the national flag, proud for what the team is and what they have done. Football should always be like this.
It should bring people together instead of causing confrontations.

Anyway, we win on hospitality and passion for the game. It was a great propaganda for football.

Congratulations Greece.

eeek. italian football hasn't exactly done itself proud recently.

nice.

I wanted Greece to win, and I feel they deserved it. They beat France, the Czech Republic and Portugal (twice). They were worthy winners. And they didn't just play ultra defensive (like England), they were always looking to counter attack with pace.

Portugal rode their luck getting to the final and were certainly fortunate that Spain, England and Holland barely turned up to play them. But Greece ultimately won through solid performances and they deserve praise, and they deserve to be champions.

yeah i have to admit greece played well and deserved the win (from a whole tournamount perspective). I did have to say i enjoyed Chritian Ronaldo's tears at the end though. Missed a few chances on goal, gave away the corner the goal came from - that'll teach you to be a cheating fuck ronaldo - call it karma \o/
