considering f0 server runs a "vo speed fixed" mutator... i fail to see viper's point as to how the self volley speed is reducing server participation. :)


but i am dumb that way.

I think the long map loading times have helped reduce pub activity :)

it's taking me about 3 minutes to get into a game after a map change...

i have a feeling my installation must be screwed because I don't have any of the db speech either.

before anyone asks: yes I use the deathball.cmd thingy to start the game.

and yes it's a clean install of db

(and no I'm not gonna reinstall ut2k4)

Well it takes ages to change maps on the BuD server but it's always done that. Seems to be specific to there though, never had it anywhere else.

Actually, the slow mapchanges showed up with 2.0 on the UT2004 server I think. The UT2003 version ran well. I converted that 2003 server to 2004 and that one started slowing down too. I wish I could monitor the server a bit more closely to see where the slowdown is.
