yeah i was gonna say "where is ash is that vote?" looks liek fifa fucked up again.
I dont see Henry getting it - im not english, but i do agree that fifa hates the english.
Shevers may get it - he won it before as he scored the most goals in a season and wasnt italian - i think that was a first or something.
Ronaldinhio will probably and should probably get it. As Spazman said - he pwns the showboat.
And Deco ? well i dont think fifa give awards for play acting and diving

traditionally defenders tend to get overlooked on that list....
but I was semi-suprised to see neither Gerrard or Lampard on the list. Though I suppose Gerrard was relatively quiet in the Euros.

gerrard wont be noticed unless he moves i think, liverpool are just cack, and he wont win nothing. He probably is the best midfielder u can get but there are better players than him compared (i.e. shev)

Henry has no chance as he didn't do anything in champions league with Arsenal, and even less @ euro 2004 *g*
Ronaldhinio, well, maybe, i kinda agree with Cenotaph, i would be typical from fifa to give him, but still, same as henry, not much trophy atm...
So shevchenko? yea, he got the ballon D'or (golden ball in english?
) this week, and this last 2 years, he won the scudetto, the champions league, and is still bloody efficient in the hardest championship in Europa... so between these 3, imo Shev should got it

imo, it shouldnt be about the most trophies won to see who gets it.
It should be down to the best player, who impresses the most, and who plaeses the crowd most. It is a spectator sport after all.

there arent many players in the world who are as influential and committed as Gerrard. Everytime he doesn't play, he's sorely missed. He's awesome in defence and attack,
And the fans love him. In fact most people who are a fan of football in general are admirers of his.
That makes him a contender in my book.
