Absolutely true, and yes, I'm one of them.. I was one in the final beta, and I am now. In the final beta it wasnt as bad as now, and I got mine from the first day on. Still, I really enjoy my rogue and I feel quite confident that 90% of the NE rogues are just kids that do it because it can stealth.. well I don't for that matter and I'm sure I'll enjoy it till the endgame

Im starting soon (yey for 3 week holiday ) but i wont be able to go on past the 30-day free thingy. Bummer.

Anyway, Rogues are popular because they're the "easy" class, to most people.

You'll find rogues are usually "noobs" though, by that i mean people who cant play their class, for instance in EU Beta my 32 mages constantly got the better of a higher level rogue in group PvP, though Fee and Wob usually bailed me out when i got stuck

...why am i on about that? oh yeah, thats why - Roboto - lots of people gone NE Rogue, cos NE is cool and Rogue is "easy" ..

I got a lvl 51 mage to 1/4 of his health today, I did die, but im only lvl 34

I killed a lvl 36 gnome warlock once :<

Others were helping me though :p
But hey! I had just revived after getting ganked by said gnome, and I was only lvl 27 /o\

While this is not meant of a flame in any sense i fear it may sound like one.

90% of people that have played MMORPGs before would not say WoW is a good game. Most of the people that left Lineage2 for WoW have returned. All saying the same thing "WoW is fun for 2 weeks maybe a month at max" you hit 60 very quickly, do a few quests kill some people and reroll.

Sure people should give it a try just bear in mind its nothing like any other MMORPG

To be honest, BlackFlame, L2 and WoW both have their own merits..

L2:
- Cool graphics
- Good looking sets of armor/weapons and such
- Castle Sieges

WoW:
- Good graphics (IF you like the Warcraft genre)
- Lots of content, although quest wise its 40,000 variations of 3 or 4 themes (fedex, kill x mobs etc)
- Fun. Not that L2 wasnt fun, but you can say L2 was a "2 week / month" max game, it depends how you define fun.
Where WoW is quest and grind to 60, which you can do quite quick, L2 was more "Well, theres a quest, or theres 3000000 man hours of GRIIIIND!"

Overall i really would choose WoW over L2, not because its new or because i love the Warcraft genre but because for a game that isnt done yet (bad point, seeing as its out, but "promised content" such as Battlefields sound cool) i think it has more .. potential.. than L2. (i know L2 has been out longer )

I think Jr is right BF. The reason i play WoW, and many other people i knew from other games that do to - play it because it ISNT like other MMORPGs. I dont want to grind, i am not gonna play it ann night, take time of work to play it, and have no sleep to play it all the time to LVL up my dude.

I am playing it for fun, a change, and am enjoying it. Sure im not a high level player with Sword of the Uber +100 n00b slaying, but i am lvl 23 after i think 3 weeks of casual playing, and still very much enjoying it.

p.s. Rage - i wasnt having a dig at you - i started as a Rogue on Warsong server (too busy - queues for 30 mins to an hour always), as it seemed coolest, but i was gutted when i kept seeing rogues who look exactly the same as me.

yea, i saw lots of rogues too, when i started out, but now im at 33, i see a lot more paladins and mages than most other classes.

Not too many high lvl rogues about,

Although i was speaking to a lv 57 rogue yesterday, and i now realise man im playing my guy wrong
