IMO i think the ball will easily be lost with those wall textures.

other then that, i love it

ive tested it, the ball is actually pretty easy to see
as for the cube thing, a LOT more pretty stuff will be added when harold completes some of the static meshes, until then i need to complete the pit....what do you guys want in it? sonic spikes? water? ...

put very shallow water in the pits and make the bridges on a VERY SMALL incline.. sorta like 2 bumps with bridges and low water to impede movement but not make you swim. That should make it work.. with a map like that you couldnt die to spawn back to defense like you could with a pit

rings \o/

there will be a spring at the bottom of the water to bounce you back up, you can bring the ball down there, but after about 2 seconds of the ball alone in the water it will reset

anyone know if you can change the ball using a map? id love to throw sonic around instead of the deathball ball :P

ok davidM just told me the map will suck because its too complicated, the gameplay will suck :/

do any of you agree with this?

bare in mind the water IS jumpable without the ball, but with the ball you must cross the bridge (that can be cut off by defenders) so you have to pass over the water. i think that adds to gameplay?

if you fall in the only way to get out will be to swim down and hit a spring bouncing you back up, wasting your pitch time. so its a stratergy to knock people down. addative?

bare in mind the very empty upper area in that pick will be filled with sonic stuff

:D

I say go with it, I'm a fan of novelty maps over boring large open areas with nothing to make them any different then say playing small cube or low cube.

Seeing everyone hates pitts for some stupid reason, you could make it a really steap hill you can run up slowly perhapse (or run down fast heh heh) so it acts more as a visual block then what not, with the water at the bottom making you slow down a little more so you'd more likely want to take the bridge or atleast jump as much as you can across it to not lose speed....
