I speak dutch, english, german a bit of french and a bit of japanese..in that order :x

Though I wouldn't be able to have much of a conversation with a japanese guy, so forget about that one :D

The first 4 are all mandatory in dutch education though (yes, 3 foreign languages :o)

I am taking French, as it's the only language available in my school, I know about as much as Messy probably does :P. And the teacher makes it boring and almost completely lacking in any form of fun. ¬_¬

Shame I've never met any Frenchmen on the internet /o\

As said before, we'll probably have to learn chinese in the near future and that goes for english and americans too.

Back in the day I had 7 years of English and wanted 3 years of German... but was forced to have 3 years of French, since no one at the school apart from me wanted to learn German. :/

And well, after those 3 years with excellente grades i can't really speak french. :/ If it was german I would be a lot more motivated to learn than french. Bah!

Anyway, we portuguese i kinda lucky with foreign languages, cause everyone knows how to speak an understandable spanish here, too similar tbh. \o/

Why do you like much more to learn german, than french (just interested)?

I dont meet many people, which have learned our language (apart from the many germans i meet ;) )

Well, I think it would be more interesting for me. I always wanted to be an engineer, and i think that the german could be more useful in my line of work (well, as an example, my brother is working for Infineon Technologies atm and was in Munich working for a month, so i think this is a valid point). Also, german is more spoken as a native language than any other language in Europe. Hence, I think that german would allow me to communicate with more ppl than french.
