56k users might not wanna :p and besides, i strongly doubt that the whole ut2k3 community know about db even less tried it, it would just get db lots lots more exposure :p

if db was official then tons of ppl would play it. if bombing run was unofficial i think that db would kick its ass so bad

I think db won't be added as a "official" gametype but just as a GOTY mod added on the cds. So if ppl don't want it, they don't have to install it.

Nha, anywayz i think its great AND it sucks to have it in UT2k4. Its great because there will be lotsa new players, its handy to use and Epic will take more care towards bugs in DB caused by crappy things.
It could also be very bad to have it as a default mode in UT2k4, cause the existing community will be much bigger and you don't know who to talk to when you wanna speak a WA or summit.
If DB will be in UT2k4, I think Epic does want to have rights to code and edit stuff. DavidM and his team will be doin less and updates will be even more less then now because Epic doesnt want to release updates only for DB (I think).

oh and btw, how do u expect EPIC to have a game type in UT2k4 that is not made to play in single player
