uhm afaik its a problem in the map, stuff is wrong placed
the volumes do only kill the ball, not the players
1.7 poll

DavidM, you are wrong. Run a test yourself. Look at the volume and read the stuff on UDN. It is, I repeat is, a 1.7 problem. These volumes do work in UT2003 maps and did work in DB maps in 1.6. The only thing that changed is 1.7.

"Pain
To make your PhysicsBrush to cause pain, you have to set bPainCausing to True, and to enter a value in DamagePerSec. When the player is inside the PhysicsVolume, he'll lose every second the number of health points you entered in DamagePerSec. When he lost all his health points, he'll die.
You can also set a DamageType, this determinates the death message of the player and several other things. The DamageTypes are in the Actor Class Browser --> DamageType. Select a DamageType there, and then select DamageType in the PhysicsBrush Properties and press the Use button, so the name of the DamageType appears there. For example, for a LavaVolume, you probably want to use the DamageType Burned. "
The physicsvolumes in DB-GreenBaize do have paincausing set to true and damage per sec set to 500.
Maps that followed the UDN PhyicsVolume, worked as intended until 1.7 was installed.
Things that work fine in 1.6 and in any UT2003 map, then don't after installing 1.7 means it 1.7 related. Lava volumes don't work in 1.7 either. I believe some maps have those also. Please go try it out.
P.S. what does afaik mean?

It would seem DavidM could use a good swift kick. His attitude and ego could use some adjusting. It's not very professional to ignore bugs. Perhaps he's too busy playing with the flamers and complainers. He seems to reply to their posts a lot.
