if you boost a player on ur own side and they go above a certain speed?!

Just on this one... I'm apparently a volley whore as a defender... because I almost always volley intercept...Volleyintercept gets you x
Catchintercept gets you 2x

HOWEVER...
Volley intercepts are not necessarily less skillful than a catch intercept... it depends where the volley goes.
I always try to aim a volley intercept down the throat of a team-mate. This gets the ball into their hands FAR quicker and leads to a more sucessful counter-attack...
Exand the rule to...
Volleyintercept gets you x
Catchintercept gets you 2x
Volleyintercept to team-mate gets you 3x

On the boost...
Subjective... but the only 'sucessful boost' is one that leads to something.
If the player being boosted gets the next possesion - this is a good thing.
Rules could be something along the lines of:
Where your side holds the ball (ie offensive boost)
If the player who is boosted gets receives the next pass after being boosted they get points (shared between booster and boostee).
The length of the boost should be directly proportional to the points recieved.
Ie 1 jump = x points, 2 jumps = x+1 points, 3 jumps x+2 points, 4 jumps - x+3 points.
If x say = 5, then a 4 jump boost that earns the next possession would recieve a total of 8 points - 4 to the booster. 4 to the boostee.
The player who passed to the boostee gets the standard pass points...
To make even more complicated....
If the boostee recieves the 2nd possession after the boost - they get half boost points...
ie a boosts b upfield. Meanwhile c passes to d who passes to b.
The boost was still successful here as the player boosted received possession.
4 jump boost - therefore 4 points shared between booster and boostee.
:p
Defensive boost would work the same way.... but replace recieve pass with 'intercept'... and recieve second pass with 'tackle'.
So for example if you are boosted back into defence with four jumps and then intercept the oppositions pass. The boost points are shared between booster and boostee. The boostee who got the interception still gets their interception points...
If the boostee makes a tackle - booster / boostee get half boost points. Boostee who made tackle still gets tackle point...
WHOASA
Now that's some complicated shite... but it should make sense... doesn't it?
You are only rewarded for boosts that achieve something. Both the player who boosts, and the player who is sent downfield share the points. The boosted player still gets the points for doing something after being boosted...
All fair.

and there is one big hole.....when you just stand there doing nothing, running away from the ball you get 50
So if you have an idea for a good algorithm that tells the game if a ball 'catchable' or if a player is trying to offer himself for a pass dont hesitate...
Very simple to solve.
Points reduce over time. Maybe 5 a minute or so.
So a player has to 'do something' to stay on 50. They have to do something 'good' to keep above 50.
100 becomes harder and harder to get, as you have to do something good 'consistantly' to keep moving up.
Standing around doing nothing means you'll get zero points from a 10 minute game.... as you should.

I get you - two seperate stats.
Volley intercept x + good pass 2x = 3x anway
Different logic - same result.
Good move.
