probably because it doesn't happen to keepers also i'd say it makes the game slower as it usually just sends the ball into the air
yea, like star said. there was a deflection off 2 team mates passing to each other at close range last night which is entirely gay.
and tho i didnt use the jump over ball, volly into the floor and catch it trick (except at the start of matches when im 1st to the ball) i know some ppl found it useful (dunno why, it quicker to just walk into the ball ;p)
edit. oh, and in all my 1.7 matches i think i saw the charge up sound bug once or twice.
Last night i think we had it 5 times in one game. and dont tell me its cos we just didnt hear it before cos the charge sound was low, it would still have been noticeable. but saying that, we didnt see it much in the other games we played so maybe it was just one of those games..

lol, i've played two scrims and some pug games with 1.8 and i personally think that i've played enough
completely useless, what is really bad is when it gets deflected right into the goal! nice shot! gg. but seriously i don't think that both american AND euro players could both be wrong, as what i've seen in this topic. this really screws gameplay, i mean this almost encourages pbox camping because if someone goes out to guard someone, the ball will only be deflected from them...
i really don't think the db community needs to play 1.8 more to know that this is terrible for db gameplay. if i were you i'd get a 1.8b out (or call it 1.9, whatever) and get this out as quickly as possible. other than this one thing i am fine with 1.8, but without this one thing we basically have 1.7, which i had no problems with (except crouch :p )
anyway please, just take this out, as soon as possible
