hmmm some guys seem to skin

, cant we get every person to make his own skin and then release them all in newest version

.. like every player gets en email to make a skin and then can submit it to (whoeva), then we can all enjoy eachother in 1.9

dunno, good skin = 1.5meg, 90 skins = 130 meg?
zipping might get it to 50 meg or something but skinpacks like that should be a optional download.

Would these DB skins be optional to use? In most cases I'd rather just use the Hitman, as I have always.

And I also use teh Agent SMith skin...
And I also hope that the game will allow to use other custum skins, liek me and Armagon does

you need skinners more than modelers... the majority of what your asking for is coding and skinning.
Putting together a basic bald player model can be done quite easily by altering the original mercinary models for UT2003. Making hair sytels, glasses, and other modifications (like cool boots or something) would be the only semi-time consuming thing to make them look right, without simple clipping errors.
On the other hand, your not going to make a whole new head for a different face... and on that point faces arnt even that noticable. Having like 3-4 different ones for each skin tone would be fine. Thats all skinning which is the harder part of modeling which a lot of modelers dont do themselves because if either too time consumthing, or they're just not good at it.

no, db will be independed from ut2k3
and only you have that model, so all others see you as standard model...

hair model ideas
put head model / skin in (like ut)
or
put smaller hair styles inside the bigger styles and use alpha for the style

no, of all the people armagon usually plays against, 90% or more have the hitman skin. We have skinpacks that most ppl in our league have downloaded.

the doc sounds mad

youve already had a post on beyondunreal about needing a modeller hey? maybe if db does well in MSU it might draw in a modeller or two...
maybe you guys could spam in some 3d modelling sites (like masteringunreal) or in the BU modelling forum about needing someone. i think that once something like this is put into db it will be a major drawcard.
