The tutorial we'll add should contain all what you need to know.
There is so much text on your hud, more will be too confusing, and since there is so much you tend to ignore it anyway.

make the tutorial non-optional for full-install-ers, and optional for upgraders. This way, the n00bs are forced to watch it, and the more experienced don't have to \ o/

Sounds useless to me, only thing you can use is "altfire to pass" and "stay keeper when you spawn there"

For selfish reasons you suggest to force people to play a tutorial in-order to play deathball. Pissing off potenial players is probably not a good idea.
