M4 the other team's goalie, pistol whip the defense, throw a grenade that blows the ball right in the goal right? Anyway, that Academy seems a little odd, is there any teams that maybe would take me on as a learning goalie so that maybe I can learn with the actual team and more than likely in the end playing a style that helps out the team as best as possible? Cause I adapt to teams' styles. Anyway, I wrote a thread in the Clans section so I don't want to go into too much detail. Thanks.

Esor, in North America, usually people get acquainted to the game in public servers. Once they feel the need to play a little more seriously they come to #dbpug on irc.progameplayer.com. This is where we arrange pickup games. We pick teams (5 on 5) and set positions and then play a 30 minute match. This is as close to clan matches as you can get without being in one.

This is also a good place to get noticed by the clans and eventually picked up by one of them.

But one thing, try to make sure you understand the game as well as you can before coming in. Let the guys know you are new and willing to learn. Try to listen to them and improve and you should do just fine. If you are new and talk shit you will get nothing but abuse but if you are new and are willing to learn you will just have to deal with a small percentage of assholes, the rest will help you out.

hm yeh im playing Bf1942 alot atm the reason is because its so much fun and i just got it. So for a while you guys wont have to listen to me sing ching chong china man.

Anyway, as someone else said, if you are willing to learn and you dont act like an asshole to people, then you will get plenty of help. The community has it's smartasses, but its easy to get used to them.

Ummm if you are tired of shit talking 10 year olds, why come to DB? Like half of the NA players I think would fall into that catagory. While they may not be 10, they sure as hell act like it. And theres a new NA DB clan that is looking just for people that are fairly new to DB. You should go to http://www.deathball.us and look in the clans forum. Anyways, not sure if going from CS to DB was a smart move. You do realize that the NA DB community is made up of like 60 people, a hell of a change from the large CS community. Don't wanna discourage ya, because we do need new players, just letting you know the facts.
