I havn't seen any servers limit themselfs to volley only maps. Besides, most like volley only with TD's which the mutator doesn't allow. So it's not likely you'll see the mutator used very often.

it all takes skill, the only thing that doesnt is playing by yourself on an empty server which seems to be the case for alot of regular servers.

wall kids are pretty gay tho i'll agree with that. but it works against them, atleast on vo servers, its easy for a goalie to dodge right at his crappy self-volly and catch it before it even hits the wall mmm thats fun. (suckers)

VO Mode should be reprogrammed to be a voteable option 'majority wins' and possibly make it so maps can determine what kinds of goals can count on it.

GoalType=1 (Volly's Only)
GoalType=2 (Touch Downs Only)
GoalType=3 (Vollys and Touch Downs Only)
GoalType=4 (Shots Only)
GoalType=5 (Shots & Touchdowns Only)

as a mapper, I would be FUCKING THRILLED with the new doors this opens to me for map possibilities.

I love deathball but i think its trying to hard to be one thing, and thats one reason the communty isn't growing. I think people are getting bored of the same ol gameplay. but everyone is so stuck on the mindset that it should be like cube when you do play -even though- they are bored with it.

Once upon a time I had a semi similar idea like deathball. I'd love to see someone make this a mutator for me

VO is the Springer of DeathBall... The players/guests can't put together a simple thought/strategy, but it's damn fun to watch them try.

I loved that server...decent people...no VO...and a great ping.

Back on topic...I don't know why people over here don't learn to "euro pass" or lob. (left click pass right in between a teammate and the goal) It's fairly easy and almost always results in a goal, and its especially good for vo matches. And it looks good instead of always using the wall like it's 1.2.

Whenever VO is played without the server option, people go ape when you score a td... and I have to explain how it's legal, AGAIN.
And the VO server option should really be fixed in the next version so that td's work.
Also... in most VO matches I play, someone new to the server will try and shoot score and the ball resets... How about a very clear announcement when you enter the game that reads "Volley Only"... so that those ignorant enough not to check the server details before entering don't have any excuses.
I have no problem with wallkids... IF they are successful. But after 10 or so failed attempts... it starts to get annoying.

The next version of deathball will allow Touchdowns when volley only is enabled.
