Correct! Die Hard with a Vengeance, starring Bruce Willis, Samuel L. Jackson (both in pulp fiction) and Jeremy Irons. The riddle was stated by the character portrayed by Irons, whos brother Hans Grueber(I think that's the name), portrayed by Alan Rickman, was killed (in a sense) by Bruce Willis' character in the first movie of the trilogy.
