Why? Aged and overloaded computer? :)

Mine's quite new, and has always been fussy. It'll read any CD, but will only write on about half, even of the same brand.

Wow, that's getting on a bit!

Never been brave enough to build a computer; anyway, it needs to be a laptop for me so I can use it at work and work at home.

I had some help. I asked nearly everyone in my environment who built his pc on his own about this topic. But I did the work alone, and the pc still works. Ok, some pieces are a bit worn out by now ...

I pulled my PC to bits once, trying to get at the fan to pull it out and measure it. I need a new one if I want to run a webserver, because my current one makes more noise than a lawnmower :D

Got it in 1999 to use as a family computer, then last year we got a shiny new one, so I put the old one in my study to try and get Fedora on it. Now I need to put it in the cupboard and connect it to the router, but I'm not allowed to until I get a quiet fan.

The End.

Take the fan out and run your PC in the fridge (maybe the ice-making compartment :D)

1) Our fridge has broken, we've been waiting for the fridge man for 3 weeks to come and give us a new one.
2) My fridge is too far away from my router.
3) The new fan is green and glowy :D

Damn! I want a green glowy fan : (

edit : swap you my new fridge for it? :D

Depends. Is your fridge green and glowy?

Hmm... Is it a magic fridge?

Food magically disappears from it when I'm at home but never does when I'm at work!
