Here's an oldie:
In WWI allied soldiers wore cloth caps. As a safety precaution in WWII, soldiers were issued with metal helmets for protection.
However, a higher incidence of head injuries was reported in WWII than WWI. Why?

I would think the increae in reported head injuries would be the result of more people surviving to report the head injuries.
