she's puoting! I can't deal with that sort of pressure! one word is all it takes for me and all my anger and discomfort to be overwhelmed by a wave of guilt!

By the way, the question of the day is, why do dogs sniff each other. Look over the last couple of pages to see what's already been said.

And you, kisa, are - were- the source of my anger and discomfort. That is until you started pouting. This whole thing makes me all... ambivilent... or something.

No hawks don't we're busy with other things.

but Dogs sniff each other because:

The dogs once held a meeting; they came from near and far.
Some of them came by train, and others by trolley car.
But before they got inside the hall and allowed to take a look,
They had to take their rear ends off and hang them on a hook.
Then in the hall they went at once... the Mother, son and sire.
But hardly were they seated when some "mongrel" hollared "FIRE!"
So out the door they ran all in a bunch... they had not time to look...
And each one took a rear-end, at random, from the hook.
They got their rear-ends all mixed up, which made them awful sore.
To think they didn't have the one they'd always had before.
And that's the reason you will see, when you go down the street,
Each dog will stop to swap a smell with every dog they meet.
And that's the reason why a dog will leave a nice fat bone.
To go and smell a rear-end... 'cause he hopes to find his own!

*sigh*

Kisa, I apologize. My judgement was clouded by my anger at having been made to say... you know... and I just wanted to say that you are definitely a bad girl of the variety you said you were, and I had no right to say you weren't.

Dogs sniff each other for a very simple reason, and that reason is that they just can't be bothered not sniffing each other :D

That's a very good reason!
That reason is that good, it even works for manhole covers: They just can't be bothered not being round! :D
