It feels like I've just come out of a long trance or something..... what has happened in the meantime? Has anyone figured out a way to get into the house? How many other travelers have wandered into this strange land and gone again?

I am originally from California, one of the United States of America.....
I thought you could solve this level simply by opening the door, but all those tentacles got in my way when I tried it here..... I told Annanagram that I had the feeling they shouldn't be there..... I think she said something like it was part of DavidM's evil plan.....

Oh! Wait! Now I think I remember......
This guy called Frank brought that salt here and we were going to use it to try to kill the tentacles by dehydrating them........ that was right around the time I got dropped into my trance...... maybe some evil force sensed our plan and tried to stop it.....
