maybe we should keep it simple:
Career stats:
------------------
Goals scored:
Saves made:
Failed Saves
Interceptions:
Missed shots:
Attack rating: "goals - missed shots"
Keep Rating: "saves - failed saves"
Best Attacker: "gives the player with the highest attack rating duh"
Best keeper: '" gives ....."
same for defender stats and ranking but its a bit difficult to do it for defenders
- the idea is to make a webpage like utstats that reads out of logs what happened and then implements it in the local webpage or uploading it every hour(or more) to the db.net statsserver
then we could add a settings menu that gets the info off of the db.net or the local statsserver and then show it in a nice menu

i think messy's idea is the best to go when you want it exact , as a responce to madogg's post and to keep it simple again...
i know it is hard to calculate but here is my idea to keep keepingstats
implement a "ratio" type
A .[50 - 10] saves calculate what the ration saved - failed is [50/10=5]
B .[8 - 2] = [8/2=4]
So here A is the better keeper , the higher the ration the better .... if you ignore the possible easy/hard saves things , for that type of calculation you need messy's system
but when saved shots = 0 the ratio should change to a "-" type
[0-8] = [0-8= -8]
