How to learn?

Fø is a fairly new clan with a lot of faghats in it (sorry to all the nice people in Fø).

Don't listen to people who give you shit

There are now so many layers of n00bs and veterans, that those who are considered complete 'newbies' by one half of the community, are seen as total heroes on pubs.

Unfortunately, some people can get a huge power trip from thinking they're good

please don't listen to them.

There are a lot of nice people playing DB too .o/

A lot of which are willing to help you out

If they don't listen it mostly means they either don't understand it, or they are too busy playing and not paying attention to the text bar.

That's no reason to get angry, and you'll just scare them.

I have no problem with that, although it's hard to ignore them sometimes, especially in this game, but I don't mind really.

The annoying ones are just the arrogant ones who think every attempt at help, or a tip, or if you ask them something (like: 'can you change team, it's a bit unfair this way' or 'can we switch teams? all the veterans are on one team'), get annoyed and flame the hell out of you saying they pwn you and you shouldn't think they're noobs o_O

wtg? I was just trying to help.

It only happens once a week or so, but it annoys me, and gives me all the reason to flame the hell out of them and own them.

Sorry but I only help people who have common sense and show that they are at least attempting an effort (obviously not you). But for whiny little bitches like you, I won't waste my time. And furthermore, address admin-related issues to the server administrator from this point on cause I wasn't the one that supposedly kicked you for saying that mainly cause I know by your attitude that it's bullshit. So please do give up.

And as for Kapi's comment? lol I think its ignorance speaks for itself.

Yup!! Help those who show interest in learning, direct away those that don't. It's a foolproof system and serves me well.

Although I might be biased because I am in the Fø clan as well, I must agree with Esorcismo. If a player comes into the game and literally 5 minutes in complains the teams are uneven (in a 6-3 game for example) I find that as sheer stupidity. Whenever a player ASKS to even teams or REQUESTS help on subjects about deathball, the Fø clan has never turned anyone down. We are willing to help those who are respectful and selfless. Those who act like, well, children, are NOT welcome to our server and are treated as such. We warn users before kicks of their behavior and if it persists they recieve the punishment. This means the decision to act proper is in THEIR hands.

And yes, I have been relatively harsh on a [very] few amount of players. Apologies to you if you are one of them, funny_hat being one of them. o/
I have cleaned up my act and am more newbie-friendly, for I was arrogant at one point. Apologies again.

Kapi said a couple posts up that he gets angry at the beginning players who do not listen to advice from the more knowledgeable players. I can't put it any better. For example, if you see a feller who doesn't use his right click to pass, you say "hey use your right click to pass." If he persists with using the LMB and getting the overcharge repeatedly, one would get annoyed. It's understandable - its common sense to listen to the guy with 5 goals, especially when he's trying to help you out. This would have to be the time I got angry at funny_hat, for I simply cannot tolerate sheer stupidity for a long duration of time. So even my problem with funny_hat is understandable. I simply run out of patience on the third or fourth game.

But I can't stress it enough - Fø does not put down new players, but rather the whiners/complainers that ruin the game for the other users. Most of the time, this is a mutual relationship. So we end up getting a bad rep about it.

Personally, I do not play deathball to become a legend or reach some high status of ub3r l33t pwnz0r. I simply play to have fun, which doesn't mean taking away the fun of others. This is how everyone should play. Those veterans out there are veterans not only because of playing talent but because of attitude. The players coming in trying to act all l33t and tough get a sharp reprimand from our users.

If any of you have read this far, I'm damn impressed.

Don't h8! Fø is a really knew clan, but i think one of our big goals apart from trying to become competitive with the other teams in NA, is to try and help make our local DB scene bigger and better. Apart from a few short fused members of our team, we try hard to help the new guys. I love the cute lil rookies

I'd love to see our server get the http://www.db-community.com splashed as the server motd or somthing along with our clan site.

anyhow, i agree with some points here. while i still don't like that some people get pissy even when a player continues to do dumb things, it takes time, some players don't even see the text on their screen of us bitching. but if we continue to conduct ourselves in a decent maner maybe they'll follow suit eventually, but i think anyone in a clan/team should take on some responsibility to show our community is a strong one, not full of retarded CS crybabies.
