... gg's ...close when the teams were even

lots of fun, even tho i weas having a bad day, had to work hard to get enough room to score, so most of the goals were quality goals

I don't quite understand these people who say "pickups are the only way to get a good game"...I haven't played a pickup in about a year, and I have about 3 or 4 good games a night on average....

Well it all depends on the guys on your team. Pubs can be excellent. But when you are with noobs...just dont complain, help them. Imagine the guy is you playing for the first time

Agree with F!end, i never player a pcikup before, since 1.3 or x.4. I play just on pubs

Well but its quite annoying if you play with 3 noobs in a team against 5 experienced player. The team with 5 players are already leading 10:1 after 5 minutes an nobody tries to balance the teams himself.

It makes for for me no sense if a game is ending 40:3, it doesnt matter if you are on the winning or loosing side. ;)

But now back to topice, I'll be there tooo

Pickups are overrated, they haven't been that good since at least 1.9b (No I'm not version bashing).

The FOE pickups were brilliant, but alas they are no more.

DavidM wrote: So the plan is to have as many servers as possible password free, NOT running VO, using big maps (curve, cube, tribun, bowl etc). Pimping that event and go pub all day long, hopefully with many noobs.

Catalyst, Goldeneye, do you agree with shutting down the pickup bot for a day?
Whoever does the same in NA, same question.

Which clans would use their server for the day?
I can afford TV1 and DBL1-3.

And who would be playing 4-5 hours on Sunday?
Count me in!
I can't say that the NA mixers will pause for the day, but I will certainly have BuD pub open for business with ONLY 5 on 5 or larger maps for the Sunday marathon. DB-BigLowCube will be available too.

Server names and MOTDs should be changed to reflect the special occasion.

ok, they're implemented now, so feel free to use them, or not.

Imaginos, then get rid of BigLowcube, thats really a fun killer, way too advanced, especially in 5on5
(people just hang at the enemy goal and never come back because it would take AGES)

Orbitul, are you an op there so you can disable it?

\o/ Just played another game of DB, first one in a long time.

Hardly had any lag problems :) felt good, played with fee, jay and goldy, among others.

Had fun ^_^

Too bad I'll be getting stoned on sunday :(
