You have to go and up the obscurity stakes don't you? I should never have brought arcade games into it. There are far too many only a handful have played. xD

I don't know, but it looks kind of modern. Could it be a retro game? You know, games made late that are pretending to be older?
EDIT: Forget that. It's old I bet.
2nd EDIT: Is that the entire screen? Where's the stats, score, lives and all that?

The game is actually from one of sega's less spoken about old consoles...
EDIT: yes that is the entire screen and what you would be looking at
enough clues ?

My God Sega's less talked about consoles? Was it smaller than a gameboy? That screen is mini

Why is that such a hard clue.... I knew i should have just said the 'master ------ II' or something ... sorry
EDIT: ... i swear i've never talked to anyone about playing this console... I used to love it, mine had alex kid in miracle world (w/e it was called) built into it...
I swear its always mega drive when u talk of sega

Megadrive? Who mentioned the Megadrive? The SG-1000 was released before the Master System. It was SEGA's first home console.
I used to own a Master System (still got the box somewhere). The Master System II was released around the same time as the Megadrive, right? It was a different shape to the original Master System and minus the card reader. You could get it with Sonic the Hedgehog built in too.
As for the game, I still don't know. I guess I never owned that one. xD
Edit: I've almost certainly got it somewhere, I just need to find it. >.<

yeah thats right The_One about the same time... and was a bit of a flop
... thats why i assumed people would speak of mega drive rather than master system II
* maybe researching a bit more about the different controllers for the master system II will help
( might explain the image
)
EDIT: now i know what i shudda said.... "From around about the 1990's" .... never mind

I've gone through all the light gun games I have and haven't found it. I guess it could be one of the later levels of a game like Shooting Gallery but I dunno (I wasn't about to play through it. xD). It is a Light Phaser game, yes? I don't see a player character on the screen.
As for the Master System II being a flop, it was never meant to be a major release. It was just a budget console for those who couldn't afford a Megadrive at the time. The hardware was identical to the Master System so it was very cheap to produce.

yeah thats right The_One .... Shooting Gallery it is !!
that level was only about level 6 or so .... i think
well tbh i don't know that much about master system II .... a lot of people bought into it instead of mega drive ? if i remember.... we had the master system II a while before we got a mega drive... was cheaper

It might not be the best game in the world (still good though) but you've got to appreciate the work that went into it:
