Armagon wrote: Five minutes extra play and if both teams are still deadlocked at the end of those five, then there is ANOTHER five minutes of extra play. Pending that at the end of the 2nd oppurtunity in extra time, there is STILL a tie, penalty kicks are done. Now that is a good idea, The_One. :D

If u still dont get it after reading the link AND that: another leet explanation :D

This is as they will use the new 'silver goal' rule for the Champions League (football!/soccer!)

Code: Select all

                                 win                                               win                                               win
                           /                                                   /                                                   /
match (90 mins)  --> tie ----> overtime1 (15 mins)  --> tie ----> overtime2 (15 mins)  --> tie ----> penalty shots (untill winner)
                           \                                                   \                                                   \
                                 lose                                               lose                                               lose
To any who still doznt get it now: i pity tha foo'

lol the reason that i didn't understand it was becuase i thought it was something new, this is exactaly what i would call overtime thus my statement: silver goal=overtime. so basically it is just two periods of overtime (if it remains a tie) then pks.

now since i know that i understood it to begin with: it would be ok but gg is still better cuz all that does is extend the game which doesn't really bring that tesnion i was talking about, especaily since your players don't get tired like in soccer. maybe one period of ot and then gg :D sounds fun and just as fair as pks to me

you don't sound like u understand it, though i could be wrong.
you do realise the game could end after only one half of overtime, right?
that doesn't happen in normal overtime, u have to play both halves.
