io think this idea sounds cool. seeing as some people like the idea, adn others dont, could't it be made as an option, eg weather effects on/off? or is this not possible

Well sure anything is possible, but if a significant amount of the people don't want the options, then there is no use in wasting time to make them. Personally I wouldn't mind the options to affect gameplay, but maybe with an on and off type deal, like

"weaher prefeerence:
_Sunny (no modifiers)
_overcast
_Rainy (Slows ball, less catches)
_snow
_windy (alters balls path in air)

Y/N: Affect GamePlay (would you like these effects to alter gameplay, or just added as atmosphere)"

Kinda thing, so this way everyone could have nifty weather effects, and those who want a new challenge can have their gameplay modified. My 2 cents
