[sarcasm]Hmmm yes it's a shame I didn't join V3 when it started it woulda been fun destroying the community [/sarcasm]
Anyways most of you don't realize what you're posting..
Originally posted by devnull bullet will you stfu jesus im not defending anyone but shit he is forum mod and he does have the right. i don`t care about what happend between you or linux because i know you will bring that up. look you said yourself you quit db so go on and play swg and quit commenting on how things are run here. its comments like your that we really don`t need NA or Euro. Plus im gonna talk to bazzi about you being removed from the council because we don`t need your attitude running the NA nor do we want a non DB player making decisions on our matches so just go play swg and drop this
By saying this (rather..harsh comment isn't it?) it doesn't help the community. It just makes one person (Bullet) hate another (dev). There is no need for that, we need a higher tolerance level. Even though most people have lots of pride in themselves, jeez take some criticism.
Another thing, banning Bullet made you feel good huh? Wait 'till a newb comes here interested in DB sees that the leader of this game likes banning people because he can't take an insult. By saying the things you are, doesn't help anyone so I think if you ain't got anything nice to say.. Shut it.
I also voted for "nope hope ...going down" because after reading all the posts in this thread it has lead me to the conclusion that the community can't get along with each other, can't respect anothers opinion, and its leader can't take shit from no one.
Never gonna have a golden age again because as with anything once you master something you get bored of it. Back in the day we played because it was fun. There's not gonna be any major gameplay changes so the vets will continue to be bored with DB. I've seen every goal, every pass, and every save. Even though I still enjoy playing, there's a part of me that is just bored.
The break-up of the ballers clans was a big blow in America.
#Dbpug also hurt DB in America more than helped. If the pugbot was removed we may see more pubs like the old days, but it wont be the same.
But what can ya do.

What more can be said?
Foomans post hit the spot.
As you pointed out once we master it, we get bored of it. Which would explain DavidM's reactions (new stuff added), but he also failed to realize that some of those additions were annoying, and were biased (defense got easier bla bla bla). This is why I think we should go back to the old buggy DB. Where people had fun and it didn't matter who won. Just..fun..
Well if you look at DB as a sport more than a game i think it can have lasting appeal. Sports have had essentially the same rules and gameplay for decades yet people will play them all their lives still. This is because even though you might learn all the tricks there are always things you can improve on... Also, something about great teamwork never gets old. And of course there is always a base foundation of competition that keeps it interesting. Two good teams who know the sport inside and out can play intense matches that still keep it interesting.
This is what keeps me going imo.. i truly do look at it as a sport and i love that about it. I've known people who are hardcore gamers and they do get bored with DB after a while. Always wanting something new, either new levels or new gameplay, etc. That's not really what this game is about.
I do have to agree about the golden age though.. In any game or probably even any sport there is a time where you are first learning and discovering things that makes it very fun. As a small community we got to all do this together and it was a blast. We will never go through that again but it doesn't mean the game won't still evolve.
You can veiw DeathMatch, CTF, Bombing Run, ect.. as a sport.
Is Deathball just a league with a few people, or would it be more fun and exciting as a computer game supporting several thousand people that also included a competive sports like league. I believe you would find the league even more fun if this mod had a much bigger fan base that feed the league.
In real sports only a few play pro. They come from it's base, the millions who play.
