World Cup 2006
Moderators: Jay2k1, DavidM, The_One
The positives: Carrick, midfield worked better, Ashley Cole, Rooney never stopped running, Lennon looked bright as he aways does, Hargreaves did well, kept the ball well at times, Rio was solid, Beckham's freekick, we won.
The negatives: Terry's usual blunder, defence still shakey, Robinson uncertain, Beckham's distribution, a few unnecessary yellow cards, Lampard still can't hit a barn door, Rooney looked isolated at times, tempo too slow (the heat?), not enough goal threat.
I don't know how many goals we'll score with this formation. Admitedly we could have scored more than we did but Carrick was the only creative force in midfield. England have yet to hit top gear (or even 3rd). Will they ever reach it?
A remarkably unremarkable game for once. Makes a nice change.

						That was hilarious :p
What started out as a promising match, with some nice fair play in the first half - twice the Dutch kicked the ball out when someone from Portugal was down, twice they returned it later
nice - totally derailed in the second half!
I believe this is a record? (4 red cards in one WC-match)
Oh well...a whole nation crying
Everyone will blame Figo's (damn fine) acting skills tomorrow
I'm curious what else this WC will bring..

un-f**king-believable !! Seems by the time second half was in full swing, everyone on the pitch had forgotten what sportsmanship is !! Record for red cards o/ just another booking away from a booking record !! Crazy stuff, should also be interesting to see Portugal's line up for the next match
Should be another tense game !

Cool! I thought I'd be the only Dutchy laughing his ass off about this
Everybody else is probably crying :'<
ps: Too bad this match ended this way though..I like watching a good footy match; I don't even care so much about who wins
And this definitely wasn't a good footy match..there was hardly any football going on!
