Well, we discovered that most of these books where just the first volumes of a whole series, and Herby went into the city to get the books the index pointed to.
The one he was reading when he fell asleep *chuckle* was volume 5 of 5, if I remember correctly.
Kex discovered an index entry about mind bans pointing to that one.

It seems to contain lessons about controlling and manipulating energy. Though she says, it looks like this was written for someone who wants to control a certain amount of energy outside him- or herself.
