Are you using a router? Sounds like you have some ports blocked that are required by your client.

Azureus is an excellent BT client if you're looking for a new one.

No router, i'm planning on just using bittorrent, even Bittornado doesnt work for me... Cannot connect to Tracking device.... :s

Azureus only needs one open port, makes things easier.

I'd try DCC, but i need someone to DCC to... and i doubt someone will wait for 4gb worth of download to unload.

the problem with azureus is that it eats resources like nothing else.
run it for 15 minutes and you need a reset if you want to play a game with your original FPS.

EDIT: What error does it give?
when it says something like 'cannot find tracker' it means the tracker has died.
also look at the light, black means it can't connect to the tracker, yellow means something is blocking it (firewall, router) and green means it 'should' be working.

I couldn't either with my old comp :S
had to browse all over the sun website (what a peace of unorganized crap? if you don't know what the name is of what ur looking for, you might aswell give up right away) and ultimately called a helpdesk

Sun's Java site does suck, very true. ^^

Can't say I've noticed Azureus eating many resources. My comp runs UT shit enough as it is so if it was affecting it I'm sure I would know.

Doesnt matter now, but thanks to all who pointed me in the right BT client direction, but BT seems to be downloading pretty ok now... I am upto 57%, just gotta wait to get to 90% to find a new torrent
