I ride the bus or walk. Owning a car = paying shitloads of money (car, insurance, gas, maintenance, etc.) for something that most of its life is just gonna sit in some garage and look stupid, because people know you're paying shitloads of money for something that most of its life is just gonna sit in some garage.

You probably don't have many places to go. Over here, if you want to get from point A to point B, it'll take at least an hour via bus or subway. I use a car because I don't wanna waste an hour going somewhere, it takes me about 25 minutes going to work, whereas it takes around an hour and 15 by subway.
