No, the second image is of a 1920x1200 desktop resized by your monitor to 1280x1024. LCDs only have one resolution as the pixels are fixed. It is a physical impossibility to display 1920x1200 natively on your LCD as it simply doesn't have enough pixels. You'd need at least a 24" widescreen LCD to show that res natively (for desktop displays anyway. Laptops tend to have a smaller dot pitch but that's just confusing matters).

i.e. in paint, i zoom in a draw a dot. it looks far smaller pixel than 1280... more pixels in one pixel?

they both run in 1280*1024 (you seem to care) at 75Hz and 100Hz

well, to describe my pc, I would have to say that it has a 7.3 gig hard drive. That pretty much covers how bad it is.

if you're having a resolution that high then the pixels will be blurrier but still have the same size (will just look smaller because of blurring)

I can't explain your imagination, sorry.

17" desktop LCDs only come in 1024x768 and 1280x1024 sizes (1280x1024 being the most common). What you're doing is the equivalent of resizing in Photoshop. You do gain space, just at the expense of lower image quality. You're obviously happy with the trade.

Search on google (or your search engine of choice) if you're interested in how LCDs work. I can't be bothered any more.

what youre saying is 1024x768 is still shown as 1280x1024 but the pixels are stretched instead of 'blurred' to make them small..

p.s. i cant see any blur in 1600x1200... jermaine youve seen it on here yourself, even on KalOnline i can see shit i never could before.

How much ram?

I have a nice PC, basic stuff I know about it is it's 153 gig, with 1 gig ram. But the screen is crap, 800x600. >_< But otherwise it's nice, freezes up occasionally and makes the speakers sound like machine gun fire, but otherwise it's OK.

Everyones floors are so clean.

I have cat fur, bits of paper, a piece of pineapple from a pizza slice, a few raisins, a piece of petrified pizza crust and a couple hairballs my cat lf under my desk. Guess it's time to clean and vacuum.
