Also, in the human genome databank; The gene with GeneID 656 is the gene named BMP8B ("bone morphogenetic protein 8b") and it supposedly has a role in early development as part of the family of bone morphogenetic proteins, a family of secreted signaling molecules that can induce ectopic bone growth.
