I - I don't know how I left it. Last thing I remember from there was, I had to serve some drinks to the guys, but I was clumsy - I tripped, spilled the drink over one of them - I don't even remember which one anymore! - and then I got beaten up so badly I couldn't breathe anymore - *shivers*

*would like to turn into another sleeping position but is too aware of his arm around her waist*

*lies awake, feeling more and more uncomfortable*

*watches her for a while* She's got a shell of fear around her and can't break through it herself. *sighs*
*sits up, fills the cup with water and hands it to her* Thirsty? *smiles*

*sits up* Yes, thank you! *and drinks*

*smiles, refills the cup and drinks himself* Ok now. *smiles* We've got some work to do. Stay seated as you are right now. *sits behind her and puts his arms around her* Stay calm. I will now put my hand on your chest - it will tell me whenever your heartbeat is rising or your breath goes harder.

*nervously watches the hand slipping under her shirt and feels it on her chest*

*pulls her back so she would lean on him* Calm down, dear, we are not going to do anything that could harm you. It's story time. You will tell me the rest of your story, and you will not be afraid of telling it - it is past, it cannot harm you anymore! Relax and stay calm. And then tell me, how did you leave your father's house, and how did you get into doc's house. Start whenever you want!

I - I don't know how I left it. Last thing I remember from there was, I had to serve some drinks to the guys, but I was clumsy - I tripped, spilled the drink over one of them - I don't even remember which one anymore! - and then I got beaten up so badly I couldn't breathe anymore - *shivers*

I'm not sure. I barely woke up in darkness when someone was holding me - not like the guys - it was a woman I think - and she held me in a way - I don't know how, but all of a sudden, all pain was gone! She knew my name - but I don't know hers!

*smiles* Maybe she gave you some painkillers. *thinking* That would mean, either she got out and to a doctor for a real treatment, or someone got INTO the house and found her. Both quite unlikely.

*puzzled* Painkillers?

*subconsciously strokes the girl's cheek with his free hand* Some pills that, if you take them, kill your pain after a while. Do you know if you already were out when this woman appeared?

*shakes head* I don't know! Next time, I woke up in a completely different place - someone was screaming - and I just got up and ran for my life! It looked all - so different - I had no idea what to expect if someone screams!

I see. Can you describe that place?

*blinks* A lot of brown and green! There were - brown stakes in the ground, huge brown stakes! And green stuff between them, and the floor was brown! And then - someone else came - chased me - and I tried to hide under one of these green thingies - but she just set it on fire - *tears run down her face* It was so hot - it was the first time I screamed for a very long time!

Sounds like the forest. She? Set it on fire? *strokes the girl's face with his free hand* It's ok. You are here now. It is cool down here, and the only warm thing here is me, no fire. How did you get out of it?

*ashamed* I don't know - I couldn't breathe and fainted!

*smiles* I see. That means that this person who set the fire also extinguished it before it could reach you. Or pulled you out of it. Or was there someone else?

*shakes head* Only her. Her name is Amber Eyes, and she told me alot about dragons and fairytales and her rebirth and her life - I'm still not sure if I understood everything. She gave me fruits, flew me to water and warm places for sleep - she was very kind to me!

Dragons?! Rebirth?! Sounds like an old hag that spent too much time alone - but she FLEW?! Can she have a plane? Maybe a rich old hag. But then, why would she not have a house to fly to for sleep? Weird, all this. *scratches head* And then?

*sighs* I was clumy again - I tripped and fell down some hole - so many spikey things in there - hurt so much -
*lifts her hand* This - *points at a deep scratch* This is from that fall, I think.
*eyes fill with tears again* I haven't seen her after that anymore. I woke up in the place where I was before - where that other girl had screamed - and there was a woman - she had - a bandage around her head, a bloody bandage - and she - I think she did the same thing as you - she cared for my wounds - I didn't understand it back then and tried to run away but she didn't let me. And then - and then she gave me the key to my room - ME! *tries to turn and look at Allen* Can you believe that?

*smiles* Yes, I can. Listen, it is not unusual to have a key to your own room. Quite contrary to being locked in like you - that is NOT how people usually live. What you experienced is probably not unique, but hopefully very rare - and it is illegal - not allowed to keep people caged for your own fun. *smiles at her* Did you use that key?

*nods* Yes. I heard a fight outside my room, so I locked the door so nobody could get in. *remembers a detail* Oh - before that, I was outside - I think - there was this brown and green area, and vast blue - nothing - above me -

*chuckles* We call that blue nothing the sky. And the brown and green area is probably the forest. What happened outside?

I - met another girl - or woman - I'm not sure. She asked for Podarge! *looks at Allen, smiling* That's the bandaged woman's name! Podarge! And that girl's name was Giggle! And after that fight, Giggle was gone, but came back later - and Podarge - her head was just bleeding - asked her not to kill her - and Giggle went away again! And then Podarge explained that Giggle would need blood under certain circumstances - and how to recognize that and that I should NOT run away and pretend to be dead instead - since Giggle wants to HUNT, not to drink from dead flesh! And then, Podarge was gone, too!

*stunned* That GIGGLE - SHE is the VAMPIRE! And she resides in the forest!

*continues* And then I walked into the - forest - and came to a weird place - with lots of big, square thingies - and suddenly, lot of people - I was - I panicked - so many people around me -

*finally alarmed* Hey! Relax! Breathe! *turns her face to him and gives his own breath to the almost unconscious girl* Dammit, I just didn't pay attention for a short moment!

*nods* I'm sorry! *looks at her hands* After that, my scars were back - and I was on the doc's table. *looks at Allen again* That's all.

*puzzled* Scars were back? I guess she was just too busy with all the new things to be bothered by her scars.
*cuddles her* That's still a whole lot, my dear! I think we will leave the city and go into the forest to meet your friends there. And maybe to find that vampire girl! *nods* It's about time for a change. And since this doc is apparently still alive, it's better if he doesn't see you anymore. *gets up* Stay here for a moment, I'm just collecting some things. Here, take this. *hands her the package of fruits* You may eat them all if you want, we will find better stuff in the forest!

*puzzled* Ok. Maybe she talked about the forest as kitchen. *goes to collect his stuff*
*finally returns into the chamber, picks some of the blankets and the cup and puts it all into his backpack* Ok. Ready?
