I'm having this issue as well. I've done the handicrafts, as suggested in hint 1, and everything looks good, except one piece of this puzzle seems to fit two ways, and I can't be sure whether the orientation matters.

Edit: Just found an easter egg that slightly changes my handicraft, but there are still multiple possible orientations, which would potentially affect the implementation of hints 2 and 3.

Hi! Notproners! Its great to see this great game is still alive! This is my first time writing because I'm really stuck in this level and need some guidance. I got the thing and I got the numbers but I have been unable to decrypt to text. I have tried multiple methods, multiple alphabets and no luck. In this forum someone said you need 1337 and another one said you don't, either way it hadn't worked for me. Could you pls give me another hint?

No 1337 here and hint #3 is all you need at the end. Any hint other than that would spoil!

I finally got it! Thx! A little bit treacky though...

I got the number and <number>.htm says it is good, but I need a word.. How can I convert the number to a word? 1337 doesn't work here..

I just registered in the forum to say how much I LOVED 72! It's amazing! You start not knowing what to do, in the middle you keep not knowing if you are doing well, but at the end everything works out!
Btw, some really good hints at this thread, certainly helped a lot

Since there are some hints about shades and lightness being important, you might want to use a pen to note each cell's "shade" on it before using your scissors and tape.

Can't believe I'm saying this, but after 26 hours of thinking and constructing I got to the point which should be the easiest part and yet, it eludes me. I saw the numbers, I got the right ones. how the H are they encoded? Can I pm anyone?

Edit: I could just delete my post, but it's the first time, I repeat, the first time ever I get it after posting for help. Wow, that 3rd hint...

So hint/step 1 was easy but now ... where do i see these numbers? I don't get it, there are numbers all over the thing with no logic i can see. Can i get a hint on the 2nd hint?
