Hint 3 suggests this is easy, and I've tried a bunch of complicated stuff (including Planck's constant). It all fails.
What am I missing?

I'm taking up notpron again after a couple of years and I'm stuck in “the second part” of this level. I'm not asking for an answer but at least a little hint.

I'm at the second part, but pretty lost. I see the thing, and my brain is thinking level 54, so I have been trying sequential stuff, but its not working out.
