This level requires the usual "view source + password hint" combo of Notpron. If you are using chrome, I think you may not be able to see the password hint, which gives a good direction on this particular level.

Hi, I downloaded the thing but when I went to audicity to play the thing after the word with the space it was like less than a tenth of a second long? I tried speeding/slowing but to no avail. Do I just need to try harder?

ive been working on lvl 8 for abt a day and ive gotten as far as the "so close" message. i have tried downloading and renaming but nothing seems to be happening. does anyone have some pointers or is there anyone i can pm? 
edit - nvm i got it but tbh idk how anyone could logically come to that solution, it seems some guessing is required.

In Firefox open what you want to download in a new tab. Click anywhere on the page except on the thing itself and "save page". It seems like you are saving the page when in fact you are saving a file. It's a Firefox thing afaik.

I've been stuck on level 8 for a few days. I have gotten the so close message and have it downloaded. I have tried everything i can think of to convert the download to another format but can not figure it out.

I just want to mention that I managed to access level 9 before solving anything on level 8. I haven't even downloaded anything yet lol.
The name and passsword were written among a bunch of text that's clearly not supposed to appear, but does appears for me on Firefox (it doesn't appear on Safari). You might want to delete this or make it invisible!
Anyway, I'll still try to solve level 8 the correct way ^^
